1950's Wooden Desk Organiser / Letter Rack

This is quite possibly oak and I'm left wondering who's home it occupied.  I can remember my parents having one of these and postcards, business cards and leaflets were all stuffed in it on the hall windowsill.  These days, we use them for our treasures and can change the look in an instant. A favourite book, an anniversary card, an old photograph or two would be my choice.
