Antique Oidarphone Box

I confess that I have no idea what an Oidarphone is, I just just liked the box! I’m assuming it is something industrial as the box has been knocked about on its travels. Perhaps a portable phone used by engineers when working. Let me know! Lovely secure brass clasp holds it together as well as the working hinges. A great storage box. Measures 9.5ins wide x 6.25ins deep x 6ins tall.
